# Welcome to the Social Observatory

The human species needs to understand the forces that drive and modulate collective human behavior if we are to stand a chance of designing society 2.0, a society that amplifies and supports prosocial human behavior, agency, and participation that can safely steward this planet. The Social Observatory is a shared resource for the community, for the study of and experimentation with, human collective social behaviour. “Knowledge is not for knowing: knowledge is for cutting”, thus it is that we aim to inform data driven behavioural transformation for and betterment of collective decision making and human collaboration from these findings.
